Warranty Coverage

 

The soundbox is relatively fragile. There will be wear and tear from use and most of this tends to be cosmetic. Over 95% of actual damage is due to accidental impact or from carelessness in exposing the guitar to severe changes in temperature and/or humidity. I strongly urge you to find time and review the provided Care and Feeding Blue Book on Instrument Care. I have included a starter pack of Boveda HA49 as humidity protection.

A video on string-changing for guitars have been made available on our official Youtube page which I invite you to scan the QR code in the booklet to access. Everyone has their way of changing strings but I love to share how I do it in the workshop.

 

One Year - Parts (tuning hardware, pickguard, plating, bridge, electric components) and labor

Limited Lifetime - Structural failure on Top, back, sides and neck not subjected to Humidity / Impact damage

 

Warranty Exceptions

Wear from normal use, improper string gauge usage; damage that results from abuse, neglect, accident, or from exposure of the guitar to extreme temperature or humidity conditions; settling of the finish (considered as “normal use”); setup, action and tone or anything that is considered a matter of personal preference. Unauthorized repairs or alterations will void this warranty. Hardware not manufactured by Hozen Guitars is warranted to the original manufacturer.

We had taken every possible step to ensure our wood is stable and build our instruments in a proper humidity controlled environment. Over 95% of the repairs we undertake are resulted from humidity damage, we cannot stress the importance of ensuring the right humidity for your beloved instrument.

This warranty will take the place of any other warranty, expressed or implied. You may have other rights under local law. In cases where repair or servicing is contracted out to a third-party, You will not reimburse any of the cost of the work done.

 

Shipping and Taxes

Shipping and insurance charges to and from the authorized repair facility are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping damages are not my responsibility and insurance should be undertaken. You may also be responsible for taxes/duties based on the declared value of the instrument even in the event of a repair. 

 

Warranty Claims & Repairs

Contact an Authorized Hozen Guitars Experience Center you purchased your instrument from or send us an email regarding your warranty issue and attach your proof of purchase. You will be given further instructions and recommendations on how to service your instrument. If possible always keep the original box for shipping purpose.
